Founded in 2023—just days before Alex Ruiz graduated high school—Ruiz School Supplies sprang from a simple but radical idea: teachers shouldn’t have to wait for back-to-school season to stock their classrooms. Our 24/7 online platform lets educators request free supplies any day of the year, turning “impossible” into an everyday reality for schools across San Antonio and, increasingly, beyond.
By uniting local businesses, community volunteers, and education leaders, we’ve built a streamlined system that gets pencils, paper, and project materials into students’ hands exactly when they’re needed.
